Sun Chemical recently released its first sustainability report, which provides data-driven performance measurements for seven key metrics to help customers and consumers understand the company’s environmental impact.
Data collected since 2005 from 170 of the company’s sites in more than 25 countries include sustainability metrics related to energy consumption/conservation at production and non-production facilities, the energy carbon footprint at the production locations, process-waste reduction, water consumption, materials safety, and employee safety.

Sun Chemical has also begun analysis and management of the carbon footprint of its products. The company will examine eight different ink products manufactured in the U.S. and Europe, with results expected during the first half of 2010.
