By 11 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 12, the press operators at Talk Shirty to Me will know if they’ll get any sleep following the final whistle of Super Bowl LVII.
As one of the official printers for the Philadelphia Eagles, the Dickson City, Pennsylvania-based screen printer will be tasked with producing tens of thousands of T-shirts if the Eagles defeat the Kansas City Chiefs, The Times-Tribune reports.
Ron Augelli, CEO of Talk Shirty to Me and a member of Screen Printing‘s editorial advisory board, told the outlet that his company is starting to land contracts he previously thought were unattainable.
“It was a lot of emails and phone calls,” he said, referring to the networking effort it took to reach deals with the merchandise companies that are licensed with the Eagles and the National Football League. “Being persistent really paid off on this one.”
If the local team wins, Augelli says the presses will run for 12 straight hours.
He expects to receive an official phone call by roughly 11 p.m. the night of the game about whether he – along with 30 to 35 employees plus volunteers – will be tackling the job.
