Tom Frecska, Editor of ‘Screen Printing’ Magazine, Passes Away

It is with deep sadness that we must share the tragic news that Tom Frecska, editor of Screen Printing magazine, passed away on May 21 after suffering a sudden heart attack. He was just 42 years old.

Words cannot adequately convey our sense of shock and incalculable loss. Tom was not only an incredibly talented editor with many years of outstanding service to the specialty graphics industry. Tom was an exceptional individual as well—a devoted father and husband, a kind and patient friend who could always be counted on for support, and a good-natured companion whose wit and affability touched everyone fortunate enough to know him. We will miss him greatly.

Our sympathy goes to Tom’s wife, Gwen; his daughters, Courtney and Brittany, both 16; his son, Devyn, 8; his mother, Eleonor Kohls; his father and second mother, Tamas Frecska and Susan Venell Frecska; his sister, Nora Nowicki; and Tom’s many friends, extended family and colleagues.

ST Media Group is working with Tom’s family to set up trust funds for the benefit of Tom’s children. If you would like to contribute, you may send a check to:
