Trapping Plug-In

Lucid Dream Software’s new I-PDF plug-in for I-Trap software adds a special trapping layer to existing PDF files. The trapping information is returned to the original PDF file in a new trapping layer. This function retains all of the characteristics of the original file, including fonts and meta-data, and adds the separate traps layer. I-PDF can be configured in automatic-trapping and interactive-trapping workflows. It also can be configured together with the I-JPEG plug-in to create trapped PDF files and small soft-proof files that can be e-mailed. I-PDF features include step and repeat, pre-imposition trapping, archiving, preflighting, and more. I-Trap with I-PDF converts a Harlequin RIP from a RIP station to a real ROOM workflow. I-Trap is available in Auto and Full Server versions. Customers using the current version 3 of I-Trap can download the new  plug-in and immediately upgrade to a PDF Trapping workflow.
