EFI has introduced the Vutek GS3LX Pro, a 126-in. LED hybrid printer for high-volume P-O-P production. The machine supports both roll and rigid media up to 2 in. thick and offers speeds up to 3400 sq ft or 94 4 x 8-ft boards/hr (express mode).
EFI has introduced the Vutek GS3LX Pro, a 126-in. LED hybrid printer for high-volume P-O-P production. The machine supports both roll and rigid media up to 2 in. thick and offers speeds up to 3400 sq ft or 94 4 x 8-ft boards/hr (express mode).
The GS3LX offers 8 colors plus single-pass multilayer and white ink printing at a max. resolution of 1000 dpi. Features include 12-pL grayscale print technology; multiqueue on-demand functionality for multijob printing; and continuous printing with reportedly less than 5 sec changeover between boards. The printer is capable of handling two 60-in. rolls and offers ¾ automated load and unload media handling options. Users can also choose an optional heavy-duty unwinder and/or extension table with casters.
Also available from EFI is the H1625-SD for printing direct to thermoformable plastics. Designed for near-photographic quality, the 64-in. machine is equipped with 4 colors plus two white channels and four- or eight-level variable droplet technology, as well as multilayer printing capability. Print speeds can reach 247 sq ft/hr in single-layer mode or 458 sq ft/hr in express mode. Max. resolution is 1200 dpi.
The company’s SuperDraw UV inks have been engineered for improved elongation, adhesion, heat- and crack-resistance, and compatibility with all types of corrugated polypropylene. Possible applications for the H1625-SD include outdoor signage, P-O-P displays, day/night backlit signage, promotional products, vending panels, and more.
Both machines offer software capabilities including bidirectional communication between the company’s Fiery XF RIP and the printer, and integration with EFI’s web-to-print and MIS/ERP packages. The Fiery proServer also offers digital front end and color management features.
