Upgraded Wide-Format Printer/Cutter

Roland DGA recently updated its SOLJET PRO III XC-540 wide-format print/cutter with new Intelligent Pass Control technology, optional white-ink configuration option, and other features designed to deliver even higher levels of speed, print quality, and versatility. The performance upgrades are available free of charge to existing XC-540 customers across North and South America (except Brazil). The new 2008 XC-540 features ECO-SOL MAX inks in six-, five-, and four-color configurations (CMYKLcLm, CMYK+White, and CCMMYK). According to Roland, Intelligent Pass Control technology boosts image quality through better dot placement, improved media-feed compensation, and better control of light ink. The 54-in. (1372-mm) printer/cutter can print at speeds up to 441 sq ft/hr (41 sq m/hr) and at resolutions up to 1440 dpi. Roland VersaWorks 2.6 RIP software is included. An optional DU-540 dryer/blower unit  is available, and Roland recommends it for white ink.
