Virus Inks Adds New Metallic Effects

Virus Inks has expanded its line of metallic powders available for use with its Hydra Clear for Metallic base ink. In addition to gold and silver, the line now includes copper, mercury, cadmium, uranium, brass, and titanium. The resulting ink is reportedly Oeko-Tex Class 1-certified and has high washing resistance.

The company also reports that the mixed metallic inks be used as an underbase to create bright reflexes in the finished print, and that heat pressing will bring out additional reflective effect.
