Wide-Format Solvent Inkjet Printer

Roland describes its new AdvancedJET AJ-1000 as its fastest industrial-strength printer to date. The 104-in. (2642-mm) inkjet prints at speeds up to 968 sq ft/hr (90 sq m/hr), uses Roland’s Xtreme six-color (CMYKLcLm) solvent inks in 1-liter cartridges, prints at up to 720 dpi, and supports media-roll weights up to 220.5 lb (100 kg) on its take-up system. The printer comes standard with an automatic maintenance system, as well as an integrated tri-heater and blower system for drying prints. Roland’s VersaWorks RIP drives the printer. It features a GUI that gives operators access to layout, editing, and printing functions. Roland says graphics printed by the AdvancedJET AJ-1000 are durable for up to three years outdoors.
