Wide-Format UV Inkjet Printer

The next generation of the Fujifilm Acuity UV inkjet printer has arrived. The Acuity Advance incorporates a modified printhead array that Fujifilm says delivers up to 40% faster printing speeds than the Acuity HD2504. It can reach speeds up to 237 sq ft/hr (22 sq m.hr) in production mode. Acuity Advance offers a option for white ink to complement its Fujifilm Sericol Uvijet UV CMYK inkset. The printer has an imaging area of 49 x 98 in. (1245 x 2489 mm) and can handle substrates as thick as 1.9 in. (48 mm). Fujifilm says the Acuity Advance uses small drop, grayscale printhead technology to deliver near-photographic image quality and notes that it includes a true flatbed platform to easily print onto a wide variety of rigid substrates. An optional roll-to-roll module is available. Fujifilm Sericol USA, 1101 W. Cambridge Dr., Kansas City, KS 66103, 913-342-4060, fax: 913-342-4752, Web: fujifilmsericol.com.
