Color-Coded Squeegee Holders and Floodbars

M&R recently introduced a line of anodized, color-coded squeegee holders and floodbars to simplify identification of tools dedicated to use with phthalate-free inks, minimize the chance of cross contamination, and help screen printers make the transition to new rules set forth by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) regarding limits on lead contents and the banning of phthalates in inks used on certain products intended for children age 12 or younger. “Their distinctive color makes it virtually impossible to confuse them with traditional squeegee holders and floodbars. Although they’re suitable for any situation, our intent is to help screen printers comply with the new regulations by giving them a simple way to keep separate the squeegee holders and floodbars used only with phthalate-free ink,” says Dave Zimmer, M&R’s textile product manager.
