Graphtec America recently launched its FC7000 Mark 2 Series Cutting Pro cutting plotters for signmakers, graphic artists, auto-aftermarket professionals, countertop installers, and others. The FC7000 Mark 2 Series’ features new drive technologies that are designed to deliver up to 50 ft of guaranteed tracking. The plotters also are equipped with ARMS (Advanced Registration Marks System), which adjusts for various types of potential print distortions. Other features include a maximum cutting speed of 58.5 in./sec (1486 mm/sec), 4-g maximum acceleration, and selectable cutting forces from 20-600 g. A cross-cut function, a 20-digit x four-line illuminated LCD menu display, and icon-labeled controls also are standard features. FC7000 Mark 2 plottters are compatible with various signmaking and design/illustration software programs. A Windows driver for PCs (compatible with Windows 98, ME, 2000, XP, and Vista), controller software for remote cutter/plotter set-up and operation, and Adobe Illustrator/CorelDRAW plug-in software for Macintosh and Windows are included with the plotters.
