FoamaLite is a new foam graphics substrate from The Gilman Brothers Co. It’s billed as lightweight and made with a fine cell structure and smooth surface. The manufacturer says a protective polyethylene masking, which is removed before printing, keeps FoamaLite’s surface free of contamination. The substrate may be screen printed or digitally imaged on a flatbed inkjet. FoamaLite is available in thicknesses from 0.04-0.75 in. (1-19 mm) and in a range of colors. According to Gilman Brothers, the substrate is free of barium, cadmium, and lead.
