Digital Art Solutions Offers Third Week of Free Virtual Graphics Classes

For the third week in a row, Digital Art Solutions is offering five free live classes at 3 p.m. EDT Monday April 9 through Friday April 13. This week’s sessions are focusing on specific production processes. Learn about each step of the decorating process including concept, design, production and sales and compare traditional methods vs. state-of-the-art technology.

Monday, April 9, 3 p.m. EDT 
Graphics Focus: Vinyl Graphics with a Cutter

This class will focus on design and production techniques for vinyl graphics and decals. Learn an efficient strategy for outputting graphics as well as tips for working with popular materials such as glitter vinyl, metallic foil and sign vinyl.  

Tuesday, April 10, 3 p.m. EDT
Graphics Focus: Screen Printing and Heat Transfers
This class focuses on design and production techniques for screen printing and preparing artwork for screen printed heat transfers. Find out how to overcome production challenges such as color separations, color reduction, trapping, underbases and halftones.

Wednesday, April 11, 3 p.m. EDT
Graphics Focus: Laser Engraving and Laser Cutting
If you’re thinking about adding laser engraving and cutting, this class can help you get started. It covers design, production techniques, and production challenges. Learn about art preparation, vectorizing and adapting artwork for the laser engraving process.

Graphics Focus: Rhinestone Multimedia Decorating

Want to tackle multimedia designs using rhinestones? Digital Art Solutions invented the process of creating a rhinestone heat transfer with a vinyl cutter. In this one-hour session, learn design and production techniques with a vinyl cutter or setting machine. 

Friday, April 13, 3 p.m. EDT
Graphics Focus on Digital Printing and Sublimation

Digital printing, which includes sublimation, digital direct to garment, printer/cutters and white toner laser printers (OKI-Data) have unique requirements when preparing artwork for getting optimal results. In this session, learn the techniques needed as well as how to do color correction, image editing, special effects and masking/power clipping.
