Direct-to-Garment Inkjet Printer

You can use the MS-One direct-to-garment inkjet printer from Sawgrass Systems and MS Italy to produce short-run orders of customized, multicolored images on cotton garments. MS-One is based on the Epson 4000 Pro and uses Epson’s piezo printhead technology. The printer measures 5.5 ft x 3 ft x 22 in. (1.7 m x 0.9 m x 559 mm) and features a printable area of 16 in. (406 mm) wide x 22 in. (559 mm) long. The MS-One is equipped with dual 110-ml CMYK cartridges and PowerDriver software. NaturaLink inks are formulated to create a permanent bond to cotton when heat-set after printing. Sawgrass says the image stays as soft as the garment itself and resists cracking and peeling. The printer supports a mximum imaging resolution of 360 x 720 dpi, and can complete a pass in 0.47 sec. Minimum software requirements include Corel Draw 10 and higher, Photoshop 7 and higher, and Illustrator 10 and higher. Sawgrass Technologies, Inc., 2233 Hwy. 17 N., Mt. Pleasant, SC 29466, 843-884-1575, fax: 843-849-3847, Web: www.sublimation.com.
