Vastex designed its Dri-Box infrared dryer for small shops or start-ups that don’t have a lot of space. The DB-120 single-chamber conveyor dryer is 4 ft (1.2 m) long and has an 18-in.-wide 457-mm) conveyor belt. Vastex says the unit can cure between 60-80 garment/hr. The DB-120 features a 2- to 7-in. (51- to 178-mm) adjustable belt-to-heater clearance, and the height-adjustment mechanism can be titled to accommodate irregularly shaped items. The dryer has two system controls: a variable DC belt-speed control and an infrared-focusing control. Users expand the DB-120 with more heat chambers and/or belt extensions in 18-in. (457-mm) sections up to 8.5 ft (2.6 m). Options include the Scrub Air system for curing delicate fabrics, temperature control, power exhaust, legs, casters, and a laser temperature gun.
