Avery Graphics resumed sales and distribution of its newly constructed Easy Apply digital films after a patent-infringement lawsuit brought by 3M. That patent is now under review by the US Patent and Trademark Office, which cited substantial new questions of patentability when agreeing to reexamine the 3M patent, also known as 930 patent. The new films feature the repositionability, performance, and smooth finish properties of the original version with an increase in initial tack to improve hold during application to complex curves and deep creases.
