Vastex says it designed the new E-1000 tabletop exposure unit to help printers get started with durable equipment that can get the job done effectively. It measures 36 x 36 x 16 in. (914 x 914 x 406 mm) with the lid down but can accommodate screens up to 21 x 24 in. (533 x 610 mm), including Newman Roller Frames’ manual MZX frames. E-1000 runs on four UV blacklight bulbs and includes an analog timer that turns on the exposure lights at the start of the cycle and turns off the lights and vacuum pump at the end. The unit uses a vacuum pump and black rubber blanket to secure frames. Its lid is attached with two ball-bearing latches. E-1000 also is fitted to work with Vastex’s VRS pin registration system. It comes with a three-year warranty. Vastex Screen Printing Equipment, 1032 N. Irving St., Allentown, PA 18109, 610-434-6004, fax: 610-434-6607, Web: www.vastex.com.
