MACtac Partners with Susan G. Komen for the Cure

To recognize National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, MACtac, Stow, OH, partnered with Susan G. Komen for the Cure Central Florida, House of Blues Orlando, and Soul Asylum for Rock for the Cure, an event that kicked off in the Wrap Pit at the SGIA trade show. During the Wrap Pit finale, Cori Yarckin, an up-and-coming rock/pop artist, joined the MACtac team, signing autographs and giving a brief acoustic performance.
The main event for “Rock for the Cure” included a live performance by Soul Asylum at the House of Blues. All proceeds from the performance went to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

“For 25 years, Susan G. Komen for the Cure has evolved into an amazing non-profit organization devoted to saving lives and putting an end to breast cancer,” says Jennifer Bowman, MACtac corporate marketing. “The organization is truly empowering. For MACtac, just being associated with an organization this devoted and dedicated to a cause so worthwhile, says it all.”

MACtac says its branding slogan, “Graphics that Rock,” not only defines the superior print quality and flawless performance offered by MACtac graphic products, but instills the fact that MACtac rocks for much more than superior products.

“Teaming up with Susan G. Komen for the Cure Central Florida is another way MACtac is making an effort to recognize the importance of non-profit organizations,” Bowman says. “Following the recent launch of Portraits of Hope’s Garden in Transit, a program in which the non-profit organization used MACtac IMAGin B-Free vinyl to wrap thousands of New York City taxi cabs, this opportunity further exemplifies MACtac’s ambition to rock.”

Susan G. Komen for the Cure was established in 1982 by Nancy G. Brinker as a promise to her dying sister, Susan G. Komen, that she would do everything in her power to end breast cancer forever. Brinker’s promise became Susan G. Komen for the Cure and launched the worldwide breast cancer movement. For more information, visit www.komen.org.
