Gandinnovations now offers a Flat-To-Roll (FTR) option for its recently released 1224 NanoJet2 flatbed printer. Gandinnovations says it expects FTR to cut down production time significantly. It is a factory-installed option that fits onto the front and back of the NanoJet2 and is synchronized with the print stepping for flatbed and UV roll-to-roll production. Users adjust the vacuum settings through the GUI to switch from flatbed to the roll-to-roll option.

The FTR prints rolled materials up to 8 ft (2.4 m) wide using beveled hydraulic pinch rollers that are designed to keep flexible materials stable and centered on both the feed and the rewind. Rigid materials are held in place on the 4 x 8-ft (1.2 x 2.4-m) linear printing table with a sectional vacuum throughout the print bed. Gandinnovations says the head-carriage system allows for 100% accurate dot placement while printing flexible and rigid materials up to 2 in. (51 mm) thick. The option can be added at the time of purchase to the NanoJet2. It is not a retro-fitted option for other Jeti printers.
