G3 marks the newest generation of flatbed cutters from Zünd. The company says it developed the cutters specifically for 24/7 operation, user-friendly operation, ergonomics, and reduced energy consumption. All nine G3 models, which range in size from 86.5 x 63 in. to 126 x 126 in. (2.2 x 1.6 m to 3.2 x 3.2 m), can accommodate all available Zünd tools and material-handling features. Zünd reports that G3 cutters are easily accessible from all four sides, and an integrated workstation provides secure storage space for cutting modules and tools. New features includes the V-Cut tool, which makes rigid stock up to 0.63 in. thick (16 mm) foldable with angle cuts from 15-45°. A high-res Zünd ICC camera attaches directly to the carriage system and works interchangeably with all cutting/routing modules and tools. The machines support concurrent use of up to three tools and can process materials up to 2 in. (51 mm) thick. Zünd America, Inc., 5068 W.
