Upgrades to Automatic Garment Presses

A.W.T. enhanced its Print-Tex series of automatic presses with servo drive and a remote-diagnostics system. The company says the new Print-Tex 2 excels at printing T-shirts and piece goods, and now it does it even faster, quieter, and with more accuracy. The Print-Tex 2 presses are front-loading and feature the same construction as the air-driven Print-Tex, with a reported increase of throughput of up to 30%. Output is up to 100 dozen shirts/hr. The presses are equipped with a roller bearing system, aluminum platens, uniform air-pressure controls, single or double print function, and adjustable, four-point off contact. Print-area sizes include 16 x 18, 18 x 22, and 24 x 36 in. (406 x 457, 457 x 559 and 610 x 914 mm). An optional Slide-Flash freestanding flash-cure unit on casters can be positioned at any station. Quartz powered or radiant panels operate on a dwell timer and retract after curing to prevent scorching. Integrated controls enable electronic synchronization of the flash-cure cycle. The Slide-Flash can be operated directly from the press’s control panel. A.W.T. World Trade, 4321 N. Knox Ave., Chicago, IL 60625, 773-777-7100, fax: 773-777-0909, Web: www.awt-gpi.com.
