The ability to image directly onto a variety of substrates and accommodate low-volume work makes flatbed UV inkjets attractive to graphics screen printers. However, the technology’s benefits can be overshadowed by inefficient jetting systems, slow print speeds, machine designs that hinder the workflow, and engineering configurations that defy performance upgrades.

Durst developed its Rho 600 flatbed UV inkjet to address these issues. It’s available in three models to suit a variety of business types. The Rho 600 Basic has four Quadro arrays and supports a maximum print speed of 431 sq ft/hr (40 sq m/hr). The Rho 600 Presto comes with eight Quadro arrays and supports a maximum print speed of 861 sq ft/hr (80 sq m/hr).
