Attendees at the Friday night dinner party at SGIA ’07, held in Orlando, FL, saw M&R CEO Rich Hoffman receive the 2007 Howard A. Parmele Award. SGIA says it chose Hoffman for his tireless efforts in raising standards in screen printing.

“Rich has championed technological innovation and was instrumental in the development of auto-loading systems for cut-piece goods and auto-unloading systems for garments, says Scott McLean, SGIA immediate past chairman, who presented the award.

Hoffman co-founded M&R in 1985. The company’s early focus was on equipment maintenance and repair, but M&R soon branched out into manufacturing its own lines of presses. Today, the company manufactures equipment for prepress, printing textiles and graphics, and folding and packaging. “I am truly honored and surprised by this award,” Hoffman says.
