ITW Trans Tech’s Digital Business Unit has unveiled the InDecs SPM, a unit it describes as an industrial single-pass inkjet module for product decoration. it features variable-drop piezo printheads, inline UV curing, and a custom user interface. Trans Tech says the system is capable of printing high-performance UV inks at speeds that can reach 10 in./sec (254 mm/sec) or greater. InDec offers single or multicolor capabilities, as well as customized print widths to meet individual application requirements. It uses ColorBond UV inks, formulated for excellent adhesion to a wide variety of substrates, including most plastics and metals. InDecs SPM is modular, a feautre Trans Tech says eases its integration with various product transport solutions for industrial automation. ITW Trans Tech, 475 N.
