Oval Garment Screen Press

The Alpha 8 Oval is M&R’s newest automated screen press for garment decoration. The system is modular and expandable, and M&R says the Alpha 8 Oval not only can be configured for almost any production requirement, but it also uses up less floor space than a carousel press. The eight-station Base/Drive Module supports up to six printheads. M&R’s Plug & Print modular design provides for user-defined expansion in six-station increments. The press supports a maximum frame size of 26 x 43 in. (660 x 1092 mm) and image area of 20 x 28 in. (508 x 711 mm). It features a servo-drive indexing system, touchscreen control panel, variable-frequency AC drive motors, tool-free off-contact adjustment, and a high-lift mode that allows access to the underside of the screen and tool-free placement of flash-cure units at any station. The press also incorporates multiple-indexing capability, which allows users to select their own load/unload scenarios, as well as three-point platen leveling and compatibility with a variety of registration systems. Options include foot-pedal-controlled press indexing and shirt skip. M&R’s Optical No-Shirt Detector is also available as an option.
