Markzware released its newest version of FlightCheck Workflow software for quality control of digital files used in the graphic-arts and printing industries. FlightCheck v2.0 is used to automatically batch, process, and analyze information about documents, files, and jobs. The software now includes several mini-solutions, including batch converting high-res images to low-res, 72-dpi RGB JPG images for use on the Internet; batch converting TIFF images to CMYK from RGB, indexed, or LAB; and batch correction of file extensions if they have been removed from the file name. FlightCheck also adds support for Adobe FrameMaker, Microsoft Word, Publisher, and Powerpoint, as well as the ability to interface with FlightCheck v.5.52 for Windows. Customers who currently use FlightCheck Designer or Professional now can automate the preflighting process with their current FlightCheck Ground Control settings. The combination of FlightCheck Workflow and FlightCheck combined can reportedly be used to process thousands of files each day. A complete PDF workflow also can be created by including applications such as Adobe Acrobat, InDesign, QuarkXPress, or Enfocus Pitstop.
