Roland Forms Industrial Products Team for AJ-1000 Printer

Roland DGA Corp., Irvine, CA, formed an Industrial Products Team to support distribution and marketing for the company’s AdvancedJET AJ-10000 104-in. (2642-mm) industrial grand-format printer. Joe Dawson leads the team, which will work closely with Roland’s authorized AJ-1000 resellers to target the industrial inkjet market. The team will focus on large-format print-for-pay shops and other businesses involved in high-volume production of outdoor-durable graphics.

The AJ-1000 features a maximum production speed of 968 sq ft/hr, a precision print mode of 484 sq ft/hr, and resolution up to 720 x 720 dpi. It prints six-color images on coated and uncoated media and reportedly offers superior ink bonding and resistance to scratches, weather, and alcohol.
