Solid-State UV Light Source

Phoseon’s RX Starfire is a high-intensity, semiconductor-based UV light source that uses Phoseon’s Semiconductor Light Matrix (SLM) technology. The light source reportedly provides pure UV light output with low heat generation, significant reductions in power usage, and significantly longer lifetime. Phoseon says its RX Starfire is an efficient system that is very easy for OEMs to integrate and operate and far more environmentally attractive and cost effective than mercury-based light sources. RX Starfire is designed to complement Phoseon’s RX family of wide-area UV light systems to serve large-format UV inkjet applications. The systems also are used in applications such as adhesive curing and the curing of coatings and paints.
