UV-Curable Ink and Primer for Mimaki UV Inkjet Printers

Mimaki formulated F-200 flexible UV ink and UV primer to support a variety of substrates and processes. F-200 reportedly can be stretched by up to 200% and can be embossed. Membrane switches and film-insert molding are among the applications for which the inks can be used. Mimaki says the ink is not likely to crack or split, even after molding. Highly opaque white ink also is available for use in back printing on transparent materials or front printing on colored materials. The UV primer for standard Mimaki UV ink also functions as adhesive between ink and printed substrates. Mimaki says ink adhesion is improved by applying the liquid to inorganic, rigid surfaces, such as metal and glass. Mimaki USA, 150 Satellite Blvd. NE, Ste. A, Suwanee, GA 30024, 678-730-0170, 888-530-4021, fax: 678-730-0188, Web: www.mimakiusa.com.
