UV Inkjet Printer

GCC’s StellarJET family of inkjet printers welcomes its newest addition, the StellarJET 183UV. GCC says the wide-format UV inkjet printer is designed to output high-resolution images and print on both rigid and flexible substrates up to 72 in. (1829 mm) wide and 1 in. (25.4 mm) thick at speeds up to 645 sq ft/hr (60 sq m/hr). The 183UV is equipped with a hybrid media-handling system that includes a built-in flatbed and an auto roll-feed. An additional extension table and roll-to-roll take-up system also are available. The printer uses Konica Minolta piezo printheads with drop-on-demand technology and delivers resolutions of 720 and 1440 dpi (with Lc and Lm inks). The 183UV comes with four standard colors (CMYK) and additional choices, including white solution, varnish solution, and Lc and Lm inks. Other features include Lucid-Focus media-calibration system, compartmented vacuum fans, Lucid-Guide media-guidance system, dual UV lamp curing system with shutters, and continuous ink supply.
