Universal Laser Receives Patent

Universal Laser Systems, Inc., Scottsdale, AZ, was awarded U.S. Design Patent No. D517,474 for its VersaLaser laser cutting and engraving system. Universal Laser received the patent for the unique industrial design aesthetic of VersaLaser’s external cabinet, which also serves as a Class 1 laser safety enclosure. 

VersaLaser is a desktop-sized, computer-controlled PC peripheral that uses a CO2 laser for cutting, engraving, and marking operations. VersaLaser can be used to process a variety of materials, including wood, paper, plastic, metal, leather, fabric, marble, rubber, glass, ceramic, and stone.
