The Linear Motion Table allows automatic handling of small engravable items, such as pens and carabiners, as well as etching of large images, such as graduations or multicolor pad-printing plates, exceeding the 4.7-in. (120-mm) field of view of the scan head. The Rotary Engraving Module allows etching along the circumference of round or cylindrical items, such as pens, mugs, camera lens rings, tubes, and flashlights. The Linear Motion Table is stepper-motor controlled and features a 19.70in. (500-mm) stroke and fully programmable indexing positions with a registration tolerance of ± 0.0005 in. (0.013 mm). The tooling plate accepts pin-registered engraving fixtures, or can accommodate printing plates sizes up to 9.8 x 25.6 in. (250 x 650 mm). The Rotary Engraving Module is a programmable, servo-controlled motor that supports the engraving of products up to 4 in. (101.6 mm) in diameter and 4 in. wide. Rotational accuracy is ± 0.005 in. (0.127 mm), and programming is completed through the Cobalt 1000 software package.
