Zünd expanded its family of cutting systems with the addition of the L-2500 cutter. The 71 x 98-in. (1803 x 2489-mm) unit features dual-mode processing, independent vacuum control on the front and back of the machine for pendulum production, and capability to cut two different jobs simultaneously. The 1-kW router can be used on one side to route board up to 2 in. (51 mm) thick, while the other side is set up for knife-cutting a range of soft or flexible materials. Zund says setting up and switching back and forth between different operations is a cinch with Zund’s automatical tool setup/management system and efficient workflow manager.
