Two new members of LexJet’s (www.lexjet.com) family of Premium Solvent Backlit Films can be used to create POP displays, trade-show graphics, and promotional signage on wide-format inkjet printers that use mild solvent or solvent inks, including the Epson Stylus Pro GS6000 and models from HP, Mimaki, Mutoh, and Roland. The films are also compatible with UV-curable inks. LexJet says its Premium Solvent Backlit Matte and LexJet Premium Solvent Backlit Gloss are sturdy, rigid polyester films designed not to warp, even after sustained exposure to the heat produced by the lights used to illuminate the graphics. The company also notes that the ink-receptive coatings on these films produce the maximum color densities needed to reproduce high-quality, high-contrast images. Both films can be used for indoor or outdoor graphics without lamination. Premium Solvent Backlit Matte is a 9-mil polyester film with a finish designed to inhibit glare. It’s available in widths of 36, 54, and 60 in. (914, 1372, 1524 mm). Images can be reverse printed on the second surface of this film and viewed through the front surface of the film. Premium Solvent Backlit Gloss is an 8-mil polyester film with a glossy coating designed to preserve legibility and visual clarity. It is available in widths of 36, 42, 50, 54, and 60 in. (914, 1067, 1270, 1372, and 1524 mm).
