GM Nameplate, Seattle, WA, announced the relocation of its China division to a larger facility in the southern province of Guangdong, China. The move was to support multinational customers requiring China-based manufacturing solutions, combined with significant increases in development of local China-based business.

GM Nameplate says its China division currently focuses on screen printing, fabrication, and light assembly of brand presentation products. The new facility includes two new buildings. The 50,880-sq-ft main factory consists of three floors, including a 10,000 clean room. The second building houses a four-story, 34,435-sq-ft dormitory, complete with employee housing and recreational facilities. The new facilities will enable increased capacity for assembly work, expanded screen-printing capacity, and the addition of new capabilities, including metal-nameplate options to support customer needs.
