Hop Industries’ Hop-Syn TO is an opaque, synthetic paper designed for applications that require resistance to extreme temperatures, tearing, and UV. The paper features a smooth, matte finish and additional whitening agents, designed to produce 99% opacity and prevent reverse-side images under direct sunlight. The paper combines polypropylene and inorganic fillers, which allows it to withstand temperatures from -60° to 220°F (-51° to 104.4°C) without distortion. Hop says TO’s flexibility can help reduce creases, curls, and wrinkles when being printed and fabricated. The paper is 100% recyclable, and Hop says the substrate’s finish supports sharp images and vivid colors. TO is compatible with screen, UV inkjet, offset, and flexo printing. Hop-Syn TO is available in 0.008 and 0.010 gauges and in various rolls widths and sheet sizes.
