Condé Systems says it developed its new DyeTrans GX7000 to be its first non-Epson desktop inkjet sublimation transfer printer and a faster and simpler counterpart to the DyeTrans 1400. The GX7000 uses Sawgrass sublimation gel ink cartridges (CMYK), and Condé reports that the system can print an 8.5 x 11-in. (216 x 279-mm) page in 25 sec and an 11 x 17-in. (279 x 432-mm) page in 44 sec. The GX7000 provides up to three paper sources: a standard 250-sheet paper tray, an optional 250-sheet paper feed uni, and an optional 100-sheet multi-bypass tray.
