The 2008 National Environmental Health & Safety Conference (NEHS) is coming to the Sheraton Indianapolis Hotel, Indianapolis, IN, from March 10-12. The NEHS Conference, which is the only of its kind to focus on the graphics industry, will concentrate this year’s event on sustainability issues.

Presentations will explore sustainability in the context of chemicals and media and will discuss strategies for reducing carbon and greenhouse gas emissions. The NEHS Conference will also see the launch of the Sustainable Green Printing Partnership (SGP) and its printing registry. Also new this year will be SGIA’s Hazardous Materials Transportation Training Program, designed to aid in compliance with regulations associated with shipping and handling hazards. The conference will also present roundtable sessions that will allow attendees to meet informally about key issues, including environmentally responsible uses for wipers, EHS strategies, and lean manufacturing.

SGIA, PIA/GATF, and FTA combine efforts in developing the NEHS Conference. For more information, visit www.nehsconference.org.
