Version 5.1.6 of Wasatch SoftRIP now includes support for the 64-in. (1626-mm) HP Designjet 9000s solvent inkjet printer. The driver is available as an optional add-on for the Wasatch SoftRIP HP Only Edition. Wasatch says it developed the driver in close coordination with HP engineering, and SoftRIP’s Precision Stochastic Screen halftone technology is in beta testing on the Designjet 9000s. “We have been very pleased with the competitive reports from the field,” says Wasatch VP Jay Griffin. “We have repeatedly heard from objective testers that SoftRIP’s output quality with the 9000s is unsurpassed.
