The GS Pro-TF technology from EFI (www.efi.com/vutek) enables direct inkjet printing of substrates for deep-draw thermoforming applications.

The system consists of EFI Vutek’s new GS-TF thermoforming ink used on a dedicated GS2000 Pro-TF or GS3250 Pro-TF printer. The inks have been formulated specifically for first-surface interior or second-surface exterior and backlit applications. EFI reports that the inks offer excellent elongation, adhesion and post-draw opacity and can withstand thermoforming and routing when printed on acrylic without chipping or loss of adhesion.

Other recommended substrates include polystyrene, PETG, polycarbonate, high-impact polystyrene and PVC.
