Kammann’s K61 Technology is now offered as a series of new production modules designed to provide extended capability and flexibility for narrow-web printing operations. Kammann says the modules offer cost-effective, high-quality inline and/or offline solutions for screen printing and converting. The modules feature an open-architecture design, allowing for compatibility with any printing system. Also, the modules are intended to provide users of the Kammann K61-OS web printer with the ability to add on as customer demand dictates. Kammann modules include flat screen head printer, waterless offset, rotary or flatbed diecutting, rotary or flatbed hot stamping, cold foil stamping, flexo station, and hot-air dryer/IR. The flat screen head module can be integrated with any narrow-web printer. The cold-foil-stamping module is an alternative to traditional hot stamping and is engineered to allow stamping and drying to be combined into one process. The dual-channel screen head supports two operations in one pass. The hot-air dryer/IR module supports any combination of hot jet air, short- or medium-wave IR, UV curing, cool air, and chilling cylinder.
