Roland DGA (www.rolanddga.com) bills its XF-640 as one of its most revolutionary large-format digital printers to date. It features dual eight-channel piezo inkjet heads with 180 nozzles/channel. According to Roland DGA, the printheads are offset to promote image quality and create a larger print swath that dramatically increases speed—up to 1098 sq ft/hr (102 sq m/hr). Roland DGA says the XF-640’s newly designed printhead produces smaller droplets and, by firing a finer dot, delivers rich, bold color and deep image saturation on a much broader range of media.
