FESPA Digital 2009, Europe’s largest conference and exhibition devoted to digital printing, returns to Amsterdam, The Netherlands May 12-14. The event, to be held at the RAI Exhibition Center, promises to provide visitors with opportunities for networking, knowledge building, and researching the latest technologies and supplies from leading vendors in the industry.

During the event, attendees can take advantage of FESPA’s Showcase Theater seminar program. Spanning all three days of the event, the Showcase Theater offers 18 free educational sessions conducted by recognized authorities in the digital printing market. Topics to be presented include winning business in the credit crunch, maximizing profit with inkjet, interweaving print technology, the practical aspects of operating UV inkjet printers, and the differences between digital and traditional printing. Paul Machin, specialist advisor on best practices to the EU Environmental Agency and co-author of FESPA’s own Planet Friendly Guide will also lead a dedicated session on environmentally sustainable printing. FESPA’s stand E90 in Hall 5 will provide an additional stage for industry learning, with interactive lunchtime debates and interviews with key digital print figures.

FESPA’s second Digital Textile Conference occurs simultaneously with FESPA Digital 2009 on May 12-13. The conference, which carries the theme “Rising Above the World Recession,” will help printers increase their knowledge of the digital textile sector and give them strategies for dealing with challenging economic conditions. Through its 13 educational sessions, the conference will examine trends and market opportunities. Issues to be discussed include the progress of digital textile printing, the comparative advantages of direct and transfer printing, and the environmental impact of different inks used in digital textile printing.
