Durst says its Rho 700 flatbed UV inkjet printers represent a new generation of modular, upgradeable systems designed for high productivity and fine image quality. The Rho 700 printers feature Quadro Array inkjet technology, a new concept for the print carriage with a magnetic linear drive system, and new proprietary Durst user software. The Rho 700 offers a variety of ink options, including white and special-effect varnish, as well as light colors. Specific inks are available for rigid, flexible, or absorbent media. The Rho 700 can print on roll-fed and rigid substrates. A heavy-roll option enables unattended printing, and there are special features for printing heavy and/or thick boards and corrugated materials. Maximum printing width is 80 in. (2032 mm), and maximum thickness is 1.58 in. (40.1 mm) on the standard model and 2.75 in. (69.9 mm) on the industrial model. Other features of the Rho 700 include 600-dpi resolution, speeds up to 538 sq ft/hr (50 sq m/hr) on full width at continuous production (basic model) and up to 1076 sq ft/hr (100 sq m/hr) on the Presto model.
