American M&M Screen Printing Equipment recently reintroduced the Phoenix Turbo infrared dryer. The company says it’s geared specifically for the textile printer who needs fast turnaround with consistent results. It can cure plastisol inks, as well as a variety of solvent-based and specialty inks. The Phoenix combines a radiant-heat-panel design with a series of jet knives to direct and recirculate hot air in the chamber. Belt widths come in 48, 60, and 72 in. (1219, 1524, and 1829 mm). The conveyer features variable belt-speed control and digital readout. Standard configuration for the Phoenix is a 5-ft infeed, 10-ft main heat chamber, and 2-ft outfeed 1.5, 3.1, and 0.60 m). Expansions are available, as are additional conveyor sections and upgrades to linings. American M&M, 4321 N. Knox Ave., Chicago, IL 60641, 773-777-7100, Web: awt-gpi.com.
