EFI’s Fiery XF software is now the RIP for VUTEk wide-format inkjet printers. VUTEk says the software offers advanced production capabilities through a graphical user interface, drag-and-drop functionality, and wizards that simplify job setup. The software’s nesting function allows users to output any number of files in a single job and order, align, and distribute multiple pages simultaneously. The step-and-repeat function helps users to create tickets, labels, and other pattern-based images. The tiling feature can be used to divide documents that are larger than the printer’s width into strips or tiles for individual printing. The software also offers ICC-based color management, color adjustment, profile creation and optimization, and connectivity with spectrophotometers from GretagMacbeth or X-Rite.
