Vastex Adds Compact Infrared Dryer

Engineered to cure DTG- and screen-printed garments.

Vastex International has introduced the LittleRed X2D infrared (IR) dryer, designed to rapidly cure garments printed on DTG inkjet devices as well as screen printed with plastisol, water-based, and discharge inks. Positioned as a compact dryer for shops with limited space, the LittleRed X2D is available in two versions. Model X2D-30 features a 29.9-in.-wide belt; two 24-in. IR heaters; and curing speeds of 240 garments/hr with plastisol inks, up to 90 garments/hr with water-based inks, and up to 26 garments/hr with DTG white ink at 3.5 min dwell time. Model X2D-54 includes a 53.9-in-wide belt with two 48-in. IR heaters and curing speeds reaching 480 garments/hr with plastisol inks, 180 garments/hr with water-based inks, and 52 garments/hr with DTG white ink at 3.5 min dwell time.

Both models include a preheating zone designed to maximize dwell time, dual-zone heat controls to maintain a consistent temperature, a powered exhaust system to remove moisture from the heating chamber, and a 66-in.-long conveyor with a low-friction belt aligner and belt speed controls. Additional heating chambers and conveyer belt lengths are available.
