New from Gandinnovations is the Jeti 1224, a wide-format UV inkjet printer that the company bills as an economical unit designed specifically to accommodate standard North American rigid-media sizes. The printer features a 4 x 8-ft (1.2- x 2.4-m) printing table and a safety hood that raises and lowers automatically and covers the full printing area for ventilation. The six-color (CMYKLcLm) Jeti 1224 uses linear motion to control movement, includes 24 Spectra printheads, images at resolutions up to 1200 dpi (users also may opt for maximum resolutions of 600 and 300 dpi) , and prints at speeds up to 450 sq ft/hr (42 sq m/hr) in Best Quality mode.
