Epson Launches SureColor F2100 DTG Printer
Faster than the previous generation with productivity enhancements.
Epson has launched the SureColor F2100 direct-to-garment printer, up to two times as fast as the previous generation. The five-color printer (CMYK + white) features a new self-cleaning system that includes a fabric wiper and an in-line cartridge that delivers a cleaning solution through the printhead to simplify daily maintenance. White ink is triple filtered before reaching the printhead to reduce the chance of clogging. Using Epson’s PrecisionCore TFP printhead and UltraChrome DG inks, the SureColor F2100 has new print modes to expand the user’s capabilities, including a Light Garment mode and a Highlight White mode that applies a second coat of white ink as the colors are being deposited to improve print speeds. Other new features include improved Epson Garment Creator software and a quick-load platen with a garment grip pad said to load more quickly than traditional hoop platens.
