Hix expanded its family of heat-transfer presses with the addition of four models. The HT-400D series features a 15 x 15-in. (381 x 381-mm) heating platen that opens 40° to apply various types of transfers onto materials up to 1 in. (25.4 mm) thick. The press is equipped with an all-digital time and temperature system featuring calibrated digital temperature control that is adjustable up to 450°F (232°C) and a digital timer that is adjustable up to 999 sec. Other features include a full-range pressure knob and a self-leveling, silicon rubber-covered lower platen designed to evenly distribute pressure. The HT-400D is available in ETL-US, ETL-Canada, and CE-certified models. The SwingMan 15 is a portable swing-away press equipped with a 15 x 15-in. platen and a cast-in industrial element. It can be used to transfer images onto shirts, shorts, plaques, tiles, mouse pads, and other materials up to 1.75 in. (44.5mm) thick. The SwingMan 15 also is available in ETL-US, ETL-Canada, and CE-certified models. The SwingMan 20D is a 16 x 20-in. (406 x 508-mm) press that can be used to transfer images onto tiles, plaques, garments, and 3-D products. It features a heads-up display with digital time and temperature control from ambient temperature to 450° and an over-center lever. The SwingMan 20D Twin press has a dual lower platen system that is interchangeable with smaller or custom lower platen systems. The press is equipped with a 16 x 20-in. straight up and down platen, digital time and temperature readouts, over-center lock-down handle, rear-mount pressure adjustment, and built-in pivot bearing.
